Ebeart (that's Ebert with a suave French accent, AKA e-bear) can be be spotted at Fireside Books in a corner chair with a book in his paws and,
sometimes, when he is lucky, posing in the window display with a fancy hat and a
spiffy… book. He has called Fireside Books home since it opened in December 2001, and owes his life to the sewing talent of Peggy Behnke. He only recently decided to step out of his comfort zone and go online as the world's first bookish, blogging bear.
We first heard about Laurie R. King when Sue Henry came to visit many years ago. When one great mystery writer raves about another, we knew we know to pay attention. At her suggestion, we picked up "The Beekeepers Apprentice" -- the first in Laurie R. King's series of Sherlock Holmes spin-offs -- and now we're addicted to these literary masterpieces.
Priate King is the latest -- just out, and we can't wait to get our fix!
