Heather Edgren is  on a mission to make Shakespeare fun. Drawing on the "Playing with Plays" materials created by Brendan P. Kelso, she'll lead children aged 10 to 14 in a quick impromptu performance of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. If your child thinks he or she hates Shakespeare, Heather is going to prove them wrong!

The event is free, but space is limited, so please sign up at Fireside Books. Call nine zero seven 745-2665 to sign up.

One of the reasons Fireside Books exists is that Alaska has so many great writers with great stories to tell. We think Alaska has more published writers per capita than any other state in the country! This is your chance to meet as many as 15 local writers, ask them about their books, about writing, and about the great stories they have to tell.
