Ebeart (that's Ebert with a suave French accent, AKA e-bear) can be be spotted at Fireside Books in a corner chair with a book in his paws and, sometimes, when he is lucky, posing in the window display with a fancy hat and a spiffy…  book. He has called Fireside Books home since it opened in December 2001, and owes his life to the sewing talent of Peggy Behnke. He only recently decided to step out of his comfort zone and go online as the world's first bookish, blogging bear.
